We just got our Netilat Yadayim plate today. It is absolutely perfect! I’m so glad that I decided to contact you so that it would be just what we wanted. It will look lovely over our sink in the kitchen. Take care and enjoy your Sabbath (which already began over there several hours ago).

You are so wonderful Ugo. I am very excited to know that you are in Israel. This is a very special occasion. XY. is not a son born to us. We have had him since he was three years old and we are in the process of converting him to Judaism. He is now 11 years old, will be 12 in late October. We chose his name, X, because of all of the turmoil he endured before he came to us with people coming and going in his life and finally, the peace that he has had since his life has stabilized. Who chose Y for the honest relationship that we have established with this son. He is a very special little boy for whom we have grand hopes and dreams. He will be Bar Mitzvah in 2010 and so we want to be sure that he has the tools that he needs to get him to that point.
We are not rich people, we are of modest means. You ask about our budget – – – definitely champagne taste on a beer budget as the saying goes. I would love a kiddush cup that says the traditional “Yeled Tov” and have seen a few on the Internet that are more of a goblet style than the cup that you sent. It doesn’t have to be big. I would be willing to spend somewhere in the neighborhood of $125 to $150 although I am not sure that that is reasonable but definitely what we can afford to spend. Please let me know if you think you can find something within the price range that includes something for your eff orts as well as the postage.
