choose a ceramic sign or a metal plaque in three steps, saving time and finding the most suitable solution for your mounting location, needs, as well as your personal taste.
Chose the material
We make signs and plaques using 3 different basic materials:
Please note: We call them SIGNS if they are made of ceramic or stone, and PLAQUES if metal.
Chose the size range
The sign mounting location determines its size, given the distance from which it is expected to be easily readable. However, beyond a minimal size for good reading, design requirements may ask for a larger size.
Where fits a smaller sign:
Entrance door of a house, Apartment entrance doors, Office entrance door, Interior doors, Crowded places outside

- In category Metal Plaques, in each of the models, choose 20 cm width
- In case of Metal letters, choose Letters Models & Numbers
Where fits a bigger sign:
External walls, Outdoor fences, Gates, Signage on pillars, Directional signs
- In category Ceramic Signs, choose Ceramic House Signs
- In category Metal Plaques, in each of the models choose a width greater than 20 cm
- In case of metal letters, choose Letters Models & Numbers
- Stone signs: Due to their weight they are suitable only for wall mounting or combined into wall construction
Chose style and model
In the categories mentioned in step 2 above of this sign picker you will find a wide selection of styles and models. This is the time to activate your personal taste, since a sign is primarily an expression of personality. Then, once inside the product page of the model you have chosen, you can fill out the order form and pay. Letter height & reading distance:
When provided a good color contrast between a letter and its background, basically every 2.5 cm of letter height allows three meters of good reading, for example, 7.5 cm letters are read well at a distance of up to nine meters, however reading stays up to 30 meters. The following table shows the optimal signal height for several reading distances:
