What size is right for me?

If you are undecided send Ugo a picture of the place for assembly that includes dimensions. Please take a picture from the front – not from the side. We will prepare a computer simulation and then we will know what font size is most suitable for your project. Ugo’s WhatsApp: 050-5800120

How to mount Aluminum Hebrew Letters

Preparation

  1. Mark a line on the wall / door with a pencil or masking tape
  2. Mark the center of the text line
  3. Start mounting the Aluminum Hebrew Letters from the center to the right, and from the center to the left

Gluing Aluminum Hebrew Letters

For gluing metal letters we recommend using “Super 7” or “Super 7 Hi-Tack” silicone glue (stronger).

  1. Place the glue on the back of the letter, only in the wider areas of it. Put in a generous amount but be careful not too much that the glue does not slide off the side when sticking to the surface.
  2. Place the letter in place and press it gently. For a few seconds after clicking, you can still reposition the letter (a few millimeters) to align it with the line of text.
  3. Do not touch the letters for at least 12 hours. When the weather is particularly hot it is recommended to perform the gluing with silicone glue in the evening.

In addition to silicone glue, marble glue can be used, which is an epoxy glue. In this case it is advisable to search for a professional with experience in this type of work.

Mounting using screws

  1. Set the letter in its proper place on the door
  2. Mark with a pencil (through the holes) a mark on the door and then remove the letter
Wooden door / fence: Screw the screw up to about half its length, then screw it back out
Steel door / fence: Drill small holes in the points you marked. Use a 2 mm diameter “metal-wood” drill bit
  3. Set the signal back in place and screw the screws to the door / fence through the letter

Warning: Be careful that the screwdriver does not “escape” and scratch the letter!
In addition, it is recommended to use latex gloves to avoid leaving fingerprints on the metal. In such case remove them with a little vinegar on a soft cloth.

Adding backside spacers

מרחיקים אחוריים

On the back of the Aluminum Hebrew Letters you can add nuts 1 cm in size and 5 mm thick. If you plan to add spacers, select “Two holes & screws” as mounting option when filling the order form.
In one of the photos in this post you can see what is the recommended location for installing the rear nut on each letter and number.
To glue the nuts on the back of the letters it is recommended to use “Super 7” glue.
The nuts that will be mounted corresponding to the holes do not require gluing because the screw passes through them.
Note: Do not stick a nut too close to the edge of the letter, always leave a space of at least 5 mm.
