Terms of use and sale

General

This site is operated by Small Signs, a studio designing and making signs (7 HaRechavim St, Talpiot, Jerusalem). Using the site and placing an order constitute acceptance of these terms.

Products

Every product on the site is made to order — with the names, text, design, material and size you choose. Photos on the site illustrate the models; shades, material texture and finish may vary slightly from sign to sign, especially in handwork and natural materials.

Ceramic signs are for indoor use only (inside the home or in a covered, sheltered space). We no longer make ceramic signs for outdoor use; for a sign that will stand outside, we recommend a metal sign.

Ordering and payment

Choose a model or design a custom sign, add it to the cart and send the order. Payment is currently not taken on the site: after we receive your order we'll contact you to arrange payment — by Bit, PayBox or credit card. The order goes into work once paid.

Prices on the site are in shekels and include VAT. The delivery cost is shown in the cart before you send the order.

Proof and approval

After payment we prepare a proof of the sign and email it to you. You can ask for corrections by replying to the email. Production starts only after you approve the proof.

You are responsible for checking the text, spelling, numbers and sizes in the proof. A mistake that appeared in an approved proof is not grounds for a refund or replacement.

Production and delivery times

Production takes 2 to 5 business days from proof approval. Courier delivery to your door anywhere in Israel takes a further 1 to 5 business days and costs ₪75. You can also collect free of charge from our workshop in Talpiot, Jerusalem, by appointment. Business days: Sunday–Thursday, excluding holiday eves and holidays. More on the delivery times page.

Delivery times also depend on the courier. If delivery is late, Small Signs remains responsible for the parcel arriving, but a delay alone is not grounds for cancelling the order or refunding the delivery fee, unless the courier refunds it under its own rules.

Cancelling an order

Every product is made specifically for you. Until you approve the proof you may cancel the order and receive the full amount paid, less a ₪10 cancellation fee. After the proof is approved by email the order cannot be cancelled, and in any case there is no refund once the product has shipped. Refunds are made to the payment method you used.

Damage in delivery

Products are packed carefully. If the parcel arrives with visible damage, photograph it before opening. If the product itself is damaged, let us know as soon as possible and send photos — products lost or damaged in delivery are replaced.

Content you send

By sending text, a photo, a logo or an artwork file you confirm that you have the right to use it for making the sign. We may decline an order containing offensive content or content that infringes others' rights.

Rights

The designs, photos and texts on the site belong to Small Signs and may not be copied or used without written permission.

Privacy

How we use the details you give us is described in the privacy policy.

Governing law

These terms and every order on the site are governed by the laws of the State of Israel.
